Woman appears in court over Richmond death

A woman has pleaded not guilty in the Hobart Magistrates Court to charges relating to the alleged murder of a young Hobart father.

22-year-old Jemma Rumley-Cantrell is charged with failing to report a killing and being an accessory after the fact of murder over the alleged shooting death of 22-year-old Gagebrook man Jarrod Leigh Turner. She has pleaded not guilty to both charges.

She will front the Hobart Supreme Court on July 22.

30-year-old Shannon James Duffy previously pleaded not guilty to one count of murder. He has been remanded in custody to appear in the Hobart Supreme Court in July.

Mr Turner’s body was discovered on the side of Colebrook Road by a passer-by about 2km north of Richmond in the early hours of April 14.

Police said he had been shot in the head.
