Police have been called in to investigate after an overnight fire in Ravenswood was deemed to have been deliberately lit.
Fire crews were called to the blaze on Tahara Court at around 2am to find a house fully engulfed in flames.
The fire was able to be contained to one home, which has sustained an estimated $222,000 in damage.
No one was inside the community housing rental property at the time and no one was injured in the inferno.
A fire scene examiner attended the scene earlier today and determined the fire to have been deliberately lit.
It's the second apparent case of arson in the Launceston neighborhood within a week, after a house was reportedly set alight with a molitov cocktail on Monday evening.
The house on Warring Street sustained about $200,000 in damage, leaving two single mothers with nothing.
Anyone with information on either incident is urged to contact Crime Stoppers.
