A woman's in a stable condition after being shot in suburban Launceston.
The shooter is still at large after firing a round into the 47-year-old woman's leg at a Trevallyn home around 6 pm yesterday.
She was rushed to hospital for surgery and is expected to recover.
An investigation's underway centering around the New World Avenue property where the shooting occurred, forensic officers working well into the night at the scene.
"Police would like to speak to anyone with information that would assist their ongoing investigation, in particular anyone who may have heard gunshots in the last few days in
the area of New World Avenue," said Detective Acting Inspector Craig Fox.
