Come and try day for Burnie's E-scooters

E scooters

Anyone wanting to try and learn about the Coast's newest form of transport can do so at a special come and try day for Burnie's new E-scooter fleet tomorrow.

Operator Beam will have some of its Burnie fleet of 100 scooters at the sea end of Wilson Street, opposite the Beach Hotel from 10 am to 2 pm.
Beam general manager Tom Cooper says the Beam Safe Academy program has been developed in partnership with national safety experts and forms part of Beam’s community engagement efforts to educate riders on local riding rules and safe handling of e-scooters.
Riders attending tomorrow will learn safe operating and manoeuvring skills, such as how to turn, brake and signal to other riders and pedestrians.

Mr Cooper says tomorrow's session is suitable for people of all ages and abilities.
