Waratah-Wynyard rates to go up 3.81%

Waratah-Wynyard ratepayers will have have to pay more for council services this year after the Waratah-Wynyard Council passed a 3.81% rates increase at its monthly meeting for June.

The rise is below inflation and follows very small increases totalling 1.9 per cent over the past two years.
The budget will see the council return a surplus of around $490,000.

Major expenditure items will include the completion of the ANZAC Park All-abilities Playground at Somerset, Stage 1 of the Waratah Falls Walk at Waratah, and progression of the Boat Harbour Beach Master Plan.
