The long-awaited reopening of Hobart's Risdon Brook Park will take place on Friday after what Taswater describes as significant restoration and improvement works.
The popular area was hit by multiple wet weather and storm events last year, washing away large sections of pathway.
New park furniture has gone in along with 300 trees, while new barbecues will be ready in coming weeks.
“We know the park is a very popular place that is loved by many, and we understand the community has missed it," said Facilities Team Leader Rachaelle Downey.
“The park is now not only safe for public use, it’s better than ever and ready for everyone to enjoy.
“We would like to thank the local community for their patience while we completed these essential repairs and improvements, and we hope they enjoy the upgraded facilities.”
