Driver charged after crashing at SA school

A man has crashed through a primary school fence and ended up in a creek bed while trying to dodge a breath test in Adelaide.

Police say the 45-year-old sped away from officers at Huntfield Heights early on Sunday before crashing through the fence, ditching the car and running across the school oval.

He was arrested and bailed to appear at Christies Beach Magistrates Court on September 18 charged with failing to stop, driving without due care and hindering police.
