The junction between the Murchison and Bass Highways will be closed for up to two and half months from Monday while it undergoes a major upgrade.
The Department of State Growth says the busy junction will be closed from Monday until December 18th, with work going on between 7 am and 6 pm daily.
The overhaul is part of the Cam River Bridge replacement project and will include widening the intersection and the installation of traffic lights.
A detour will be in place during the upgrade between Falmouth and Simpson Streets in Somerset.
A section of the Bass Highway on the Western side of the Cam River will also be reduced to one lane from Wednesday to Friday next week.
