Macca’s to spend $5 million on Coastal upgrade

McDonald’s Australia has revealed details of a planned $5 million redevelopment of its Burnie restaurant.

The current facility was built 32 years ago and Macca’s say it’s due for ma revamp, which will include a new dining room, terrace, McCafe and a play area for families.

It’s expected the redevelopment will create 100 jobs during the construction phase.

It follows on from a recent $2.5 million makeover of McDonald’s Kings Meadows store in Launceston, and plans to develop new stores at Mowbray, Prospect and Westbury.

Macca’s currently has two restaurants in Devonport and one in Ulverstone, but there’s no word yet on plans upgrades or for more stores for the North-West Coast.
