Tasmanian triathlete Jack Latham has tasted more medal success at the Youth Commonwealth Games in Trinidad and Tobago, and this time it’s a gold.
After claiming the men’s individual bronze medal on Sunday, the 17 year-old from Ulverstone teamed up with Australian women’s individual gold medallist Aspen Anderson, to win the teams event by 25 seconds over Scotland, with Jersey 14 seconds behind in third.
Australia’s second pairing of Oscar Wootton and Hannah Pollock finished the super-sprint distance in fourth place.
Latham is the only Tasmanian in the Australian games contingent, which leads the medal tally with 11 gold, nine silver and nine bronze medals, with two more days of competition to come.
