Coastal policy changes explained

A community meeting will be held in Wynyard on Friday night to discuss proposed changes to the Tasmanian State Coastal Policy.

The meeting is being organised by the Environment Tasmania group.

The meeting will outline what the policy currently does, what changes have been proposed by the State Government and what it could mean for Robbins Island and the rest of the North-West Coast.

Guest speakers will include Independent Braddon MP Craig Garland, Circular Head wildlife carer Alice Carson and a representative from the Circular Head Coastal Awareness Network.

The meeting will be held at the Wynyard Yacht Club at 6pm.

The Environment Tasmania group is running a series of public meetings around the state to discuss proposed changes to the coastal policy.
