The State and Federal Governments are being called on to commit to the $60 million Cradle Mountain Master Plan.
The new Tourism Industry Council of Tasmania CEO Amy Hills is making the call during a week long series of visits to Tasmania’s tourism destinations and is discussing Cradle Mountain and other issues with the West by North West regional tourism organisation.
Ms Hills says the Cradle Mountain Master Plan, which was drawn up by the Cradle Coast Authority in 2016, is fundamental for the North West region and Tasmania more broadly.
She says Cradle Mountain is the jewel in the crown for Tasmanian tourism and the level of investment should reflect just that.
Ms Hills says the North-West Coast is an important part of the Tasmanian tourism industry and deserves it’s fair share of funding
