From Russia with Love...
*WARNING this post contains spoilers

Netflix had a special Valentine’s Day treat for all it’s Stranger Things lovers dropping the first teaser trailer for season 4!

Before we talk about the first look at season 4 let's quickly recap season 3!

If you recall in the final episode of season 3 Hopper and Joyce work to shut down the machine that was being used to open the Upside Down. In the final moments of the episode, Hopper sacrifices himself so that Joyce can safely shut it down.

The post-credit scenes of the episode take viewers to Russia where there is reference made to an unseen ‘American’ prisoner. Fan theories and speculation ran rampant that the prisoner was, in fact, Hopper and that somehow he had survived the blast of the machine.

Picking up from where season 3 ended in the snowy wasteland of Kamchatka, the new 50-second trailer answered one very massive question for fans is Hopper alive?

The trailer pans to a bunch of men working in a prisoner chain-gang on a railway the catch is…Hopper is one of those men.

THAT’S RIGHT HOPPER IS ALIVE!

The show creators, The Duffer Brothers, have released the following statement.

"We’re excited to officially confirm that production on Stranger Things 4 is now underway – and even more excited to announce the return of Hopper! Although it’s not all good news for our “American”; he is imprisoned far from home in the snowy wasteland of Kamchatka, where he will face dangers both human…and other. Meanwhile, back in the states, a new horror is beginning to surface, something long-buried, something that connects everything…

Season 4 is shaping up to be the biggest and most frightening season yet, and we cannot wait for everyone to see more. In the meantime — pray for the American.

From Russia with love."
