Police are continuing the hunt for a youth who escaped custody in Hobart’s north just after 8:30 on Sunday night.
The male, who is not believed to be a threat to the community, absconded from a marked security vehicle in the area of Timsbury Road and Howard Road, Glenorchy.
Police say he had handcuffs on his wrists at the front of his body and was wearing a grey hooded jumper and black trousers.

Anyone who has seen him is asked to contact police on 131 444.
