Bridgewater CIB is investigating a suspicious house fire in Herdsmans Cove, north of Hobart.

The fire in Gangell Place was reported about 2.20 this morning, and the house completely engulfed in flames when the Fire Service arrived.

The dwelling was completely destroyed in the blaze, though no one was injured, as the home was unoccupied after being extensively damaged in a fire in January.

Police say the local community has assisted their investigation and anyone else with information regarding this fire is encouraged to contact them.
